About the Event
A radio drama inspired by the early twentieth century philosopher Rudolf Steiner’s theory that human development is based upon seven-year cycles. Intertwined with music from ‘Joy Division’, we follow the story of Ophelia as we see her evolve and change in different phases of her life. From the young excitable teenager, to the girl who wished she hadn’t craved to grow up so soon, to eventually the adult woman she is currently. One night in particular changes not only the person she is, but the way she looks at life itself. Told through diary entries, real life memories and internal dialogue, it is filled with compassion, heartbreak, nativity and mostly importantly – hope! ‘Future Self’ is a radio piece that will be relatable to people of all ages. #Opheliasjourney #every7years

Based in the heart of Sheffield, I am a driven and creative performer who enjoys all aspects of performing arts. After achieving a ‘1 Year Musical Theatre Diploma’ at The Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, I am now coming to the end of my degree at Sheffield Hallam University. The ‘Performance for Stage and Screen’ BA Honours has both helped and allowed me to grow as a performer (most specifically actor), and writer, and I hope to successfully face the world of professionally paid work.
