About the Event
Bound for their grandfather's funeral, in an old neglected campervan. Four estranged siblings reluctantly reunite on the 12-hour journey to the house they spent many summers in. They set off on a drive filled with tension, old grudges and an aching grief. But when the van breaks down on the hard shoulder, the roadside becomes an unexpected place for connection. What begins as resentment, slowly turns into an opportunity for reflection and acceptance. As they search to repair the van, they end up repairing something much more important. We tell a heartfelt, often funny and occasionally awkward story through a dysfunctional family's experience of bereavement, reconciliation and healing.
