About the Event
Based on the novel that inspired Stalker (1979) by Andrei Tarkovsky and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series from GSC Game World. Dregs adapts Roadside Picnic into a fragmented and surreal performance that combines physical theatre, glitchy lo-fi tech and post-cataclysmic imagery. An extraterrestrial visit puts Earth into crisis and leaves behind six dangerous visit zones. Dregs is centred around a group of Stalkers; a team of people who sneak into these zones and extract what they can find. It’s a piece that brings escapism, pressure cooker environments, obsession and survival into the context of the oppressive, desperate world described in Strugatsky’s Novel.
Created and performed by Stanley Ball, with Molly-Josephine Storey, James Horton, Luke Wiseman, and Ruben Juckes.
